A proposal put forward by the Dutch jurist and theologian Hugo de Groot (Grotius) to grant Jews the right to settle in the provinces of Holland and Western Friesland under special conditions. This document served as a basis for defining the legal status of the Jews in Holland in the seventeenth century. Copied presumably by a clerk of Hugo Grotius. With autograph. notes by Grotius in the margins. Amsterdam, 1615.
