Part of a memorandum on a penalty given to Isaac Cohen Belinfante, because of a sermon that did not please the governors of the Sephardic congregation in Amsterdam, c. 1770.
Though the text is incomplete, it appears that Belinfante was fined fl. 20.00 to be deduced from his salary of fl. 80.00 per annum, as a teacher of the congregation.
