Of the same copyist, some other manuscripts repose in this collection: a copy of Saul Levi Morteira’s Providencia de Dios con Ysrael (EH 48 B 16), and a few Dutch translations of Hebrew prayers (EH 48 E 17, EH 48 D 25).

Michael Lopez Pinto was one of the most preeminent calligraphers of Amsterdam in the first half of the eighteenth century. There are also other manuscripts copied by him in the Bibliotheca Rosenthaliana (cf. Cat. Ros., nrs. 196A, 280, 282). In Cat. Ros. nr. 196A, a copy of a Dutch translation of Hebrew daily prayers, written in 1734, the copyist states that he is 68 years old. He must have made a mistake about his age either in that or in the above described manuscript.

Belonged to the collection of Ets Haim Library at the end of the 19th century.
